HINULUGANG TAKTAK – Philippines
For more information on related resorts, visit Classified Online Ads

Antipolo is rich in natural attractions. Its natural landform and existing vegetative covers makes for very exciting scenic spots. Most of these natural attractions are in the higher evaluations of eastern and northern Antipolo, where the necessary infrastructures for tourism are not in place yet. With the highlands of Antipolo,, we can expect that we cannot find beaches around, however, with the Resort Business flourishing as early as the 60’s, people from other places have well appreciated these beautiful resorts and relaxing places which supplements the deteriorating condition of the famous Hinulugang Taktak, which was made a National park in the 80’s.

Hinulugang Taktak Falls – which is traditionally visited and is now a National Park. The waterfalls of Hinulugang Taktak are famed for its energetic sparks as it cascades down the cliff. Tourists can plan on a full day picnic with the convenience and comforts of cottages, clean public toilets and super-sized pools.

Visitors can get an energetic lift after the tiring spiritual cleansing at the White Cross by splashing at the Hinulugang Taktak Falls. This is Antipolo’s natural and cultural heritage. Hinulugang Taktak means “the place where the bell was dropped.” The 15th century legend states that the waterfalls is the place where the townspeople dropped the large bell that caused great disturbance whenever it rings at Angelus, which no one could endure. They asked the priest to throw the bell. Thus the place got its name.

Location: Taktak Road Antipolo City
How to get there: Jeepneys bound to Antipolo are stationed at Araneta Commercial Center (Cubao). From the town proper of Antipolo, take a tricycle for a one (1) kilometer ride to Hinulugang Taktak

Read Useful Secrets About Valencia

Valencia is the third largest city in Spain and is a welcoming fresh, vibrant and colourful place.

This is largely due to the fact that it was founded by the Romans in 137 BC and was later a Roman fortress. Two of the city’s original gates still stand today, but the city has expanded somewhat since those stones were laid.

Santiago Calatrava, among the world’s most sought-after architects, constructed the city of arts and science project for his hometown. It’s a spectacular, domed complex with a glimmering reflection pool. Don’t miss the chance to see an outdoor concert here at night while the whole “city” is perfectly lit. There are 5 different sections: an arts pavilion, Europe’s largest aquarium, an interactive science centre, a planetarium/ imax dome and a botanical garden.

Barrio del Carmen, the city’s original quarter, is made up of winding, maze-like streets perfect for exploring and strolling. Around here you’ll find the sights typical to any ancient spanish city: the cathedral, city hall, and numerous plazas now set up with outdoor cafes.

One of the best things about Valencia City is that you’re right on the beach. The most lively city beaches, Las Arenas and Malvarrosa, are connected by a busy boardwalk full of restaurants and cafes.

Thanks to its privileged location on the banks of the Mediterranean Sea Valencia attracts visitors anxious to get to know the city’s interesting attractions, sport and entertainment facilities, beaches, food, great weather and friendly people.

The nearby mountains, only 20 kilometers away, are a wonderful, spectacular area of natural beauty with an amazing variety of plants and wildlife to wow the visitors.

Valencia is not like most cities and the extravagantly decorated main railway station is a must see - a shining example of the ceramics industry that 500 years ago, Valencianos began developing into fine art.

There are more wonderful examples of ceramics artistry through the ages at the nearby Palacio del Marques dos aguas, an ornately decorated 15th century palace housing the national museum of ceramics. There are stunningly beautiful ceramics dating back to the 13th century, produced in the town of paterna and picasso-like pieces from the 18th century, made in Manises where active potteries still exist and are well worth visiting.

A large student community ensures that the city has not turned into a museum and provides a very lively and pleasant environment.

Valencia is a city with a lot of energy and it has undertaken a whole range of spectacular developments such as the city of arts and sciences, the new aquarium and has now started to redevelop the harbour that will redefine Valencia’s relationship with the sea.

Recently the 32nd America’s Cup Regatta was held in Valencia which attracted huge interest, and even more recently the Formula One Grand Prix teams descended on the city to race around the newly designed street circuit near the port.

This welcoming cosmopolitan city, which historically has been a place where different visitors have converged and today continues to be a link between the north of Europe and the Mediterranean countries, via its efficient communication network.

With a population of 800,000, Valencia City has a modern transportation network, which makes the city easily accessible by land, sea and air. The number of European flights has greatly increased over the last few years, thanks to Manises International Airport. The airport, which was built recently and is only 8 kms. From the city, links Valencia to the main Spanish and European cities.

Valencia is poised to become Europe’s “it” city. Valencia seems to have subscribed to the “if you build it, they will come” theory of tourism, which worked out so well for Bilbao after the construction of Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Museum.

In Valencia, Santiago Calatrava has designed a dazzling complex of buildings, parks, and pools that look as if they could take flight at a moment’s notice. With their sweeping arcs, jazzy angles, and shiny surfaces, Calatrava’s creations seem more like design masterpieces than architecture, charismatic works of art that will inspire even the most jaded viewers to whip out their digital cameras and begin clicking away.

Calatrava has said that his designs were inspired by natural forms. For example, the peaks of his science museum suggest birds with open beaks while the hemispheric planetarium resembles the human eye and can even blink.

The shimmering quality of the facades is enhanced by Calatrava’s use of trencadis, shards of the region’s famous ceramic tile that are fitted together to form a gleaming white whole that throws back the brilliant Iberian sunlight.

So if you are looking for a holiday destination that is unlike any other than put Valencia near the top of your list, you won’t regret it.

Summerville Beach - Nova Scotia’s Best Beach

Summerville Beach

In my opinion one of the most beautiful beaches Canada has to offer. Although there are plenty of them, Summerville Beach is on the top of the list.

A beautiful mile-long beach is a scenic route with beach houses along its coastline. The sand is amazing, giving it a tropical Mexican beach feel instead of a Canadian feel. The semi-enclosed cove that it lays in gives it a secretive, quiet, calm environment. Summerville Beach is just one of the many found in Nova Scotia, which through my traveling was privileged enough to experience most of them! Summerville was just one that stuck out in my mind.

I kept this one short – just a quick informative on what I believe is an amazing beach in Canada.

Find the Cheapest Flights Possible

Finding the perfect flight is easier than you think. Your best friend when it comes to finding the cheapest, most reliable flight is right at the comfort of your own home, the internet.

There are literally tons of great sites to start looking at the best travel deals possible. The best part about it is some are 3rd party sites, meaning they don’t sell anything at all. Instead, they are travel ‘search engines’ that collaborate with hundreds of airlines and travel companies to bring you only the best deals. These sites won’t cost you anything, you simply type in the destination your going, the dates, how many individuals are flying and they do the rest; showing you the cheapest airlines available to you.

BookingBuddy and TravelCuts are 2 of these search engines. They are two of the best resources on the internet for finding travel deals and bottom-end rates. Allowing you to cut out the time trying to find and compare flights and other travel deals with searching through dozens of sites manually.

Many people also say that booking travel and airline tickets in advance is an easy way to save money when it comes to flying and traveling. I couldn’t agree more. But most of them forget that last minute deals aren’t far behind when it comes to saving money on tickets. It’s not a sales pitch when a company says they have last minute deals – these really are good prices!
Don’t be scared to sign up for newsletters and travel discount notifications from your favourite internet sites – this will save you tons of time when looking for that golden opportunity flight!

Caribbean Vacation Ideas

We all know the main attractions the Caribbean offers: pearly beaches, beautiful resorts, dazzling landscape, a clear ocean and tropical climate. What most people don’t know is what spots are best for certain tourism attractions amongst all their options.

The following destinations offer the best Caribbean vacation experiences for their respective activity.

1. Swimming with the dolphins - Many people know this already, but what they don’t know is not all destinations offer the same quality of dolphin experiences. A recent survey on a Caribbean based site has polled Dominican Republics dolphin program to be the most enjoyable for the tourist in all of the Caribbean. While many different places offer dolphin shows, the quality and hands on experience (what we all want when swimming with the dolphins) is definitely not as intimate or allowing in other places.

2. Food - Undeniably an experience all on its own. Caribbean food is usually hit or miss with most tourists. Two of the top restaurants, ranked in Caribbean Edge Magazine, are ‘Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse’ found in Aruba’s Marriott Resort, offering an array of food, all put together with only the best quality and effort. The second is Dasheene found in Ladera St. Lucia Resort, a wonderful place for dining while vacationing at an exquisite resort. Both offer superb food with the utmost quality and taste. Be aware these are just two of the many renowned restaurants in the Caribbean.

3. Resorts come in abundance in the Caribbean - with most being average, but a select few that stand out greatly from the rest. One of those being The Beach House in Barbuda, one of the only resorts on an island considered one of the most natural and unspoiled islands left in the Caribbean. The Beach House is literally one of the most relaxing, serene, indulgent getaways the Caribbean offers, a vacation any potential tourist should look into. A second resort is the Eden Rock Resort and Spa found in St. Bart’s. A resort found on the liveliest part of the island, while still allowing the tourists to hide peacefully away in the beauty of the resort. A utopia within its small intimate environment brings a vibe of comfortable consideration while maintaining an affectionate atmosphere. Recently redesigned, it brings a different unique Caribbean experience.

4. Scuba Diving - This topic is tricky, because most people have preferences on what they want to see underwater. Cliffs and ridges, fish, colors, reefs, animals etc… The following dive spots are listed ‘best’ regarding a certain feature, rated by diving instructors and tour guides from the Caribbean. The location with the best wall drop-off is Caymen Brac, Cayman Islands. A location with some of the most unique color and coral abundance is the Santa Rosa Wall, Cozumel. One of the abundant concentrations of large tropical fish and animals (some whales) is found in French Cay, Turks and Caicos.

Cayman Island - Scuba Diving

These are only four of the hundreds of experiences available in the Caribbean. Finding the needle in the haystack is a common saying when searching and looking for the best possible place for a certain hobby. You’ve been equipped with some of the best destinations for certain attractions in the Caribbean, now develop your own opinions and travel the areas yourself!

Cheers,

Peggy’s Cove - Canada

Peggys Point LighthouseWhen I was 13 years old my family took a vacation to Eastern Canada. The Maritimes were definitely one of the places that stood out in my mind. Along with the wonderful scenic landscape and cozy villages nestled throughout the islands, Peggy’s Cove is just one of the memorable landmarks I had seen.

Peggy’s Cove is a small intimate fishing community as well as one of the major tourist spots in Atlantic Canada. The unique rock that has formed the coastline from tectonic movements thousands of years ago is still evident today.

Peggy’s Point Lighthouse is one of the most monumental historic pieces Canada has as tradition. Damaged by a hurricane in 1954, the old wooden lighthouse was removed and replaced with the one that stands there till this day; containing a fully functioning post-office during the summer months for the village dwellers.

With old-styled fishing boats, a rustic undeveloped harbour, its world renowned Peggy’s Point Lighthouse, and its rugged beauty; the cove is a tourist destination like no other. Watching the rumbling of the ocean crash upon the cryptic rocks and viewing the vast endless Atlantic Ocean at your toes is a site like no other.

Peggy’s Cove with always be one of the most memorable places in Canada that I have visited. A place every Canadian and ambitious tourist around the world should travel to one day!

Cheers,
Ethan Wollmann
